St. Pats Shut Down Due to Inclement Weather

In the interest of public safety, at 4:00 p.m. on March 15, 2008, the 26th Annual St. Pat's in Five Points festival was shut down.

Organizers in partnership with City of Columbia leadership and advised by local meteorologists and air traffic controllers at Columbia Airport, determined that severe inclement weather reports in the area - which included lightning, high winds and a tornado watch - mandated that measures be taken to assure that festival-goers were urged to leave the area and find cover.

No refunds will be made.

The Five Points Association, and St. Pat's in Five Points Committee would like to thank the people who came to Columbia's favorite urban village to enjoy St. Patrick's Day, and we look forward to seeing you in 2009.
